I accept what you are saying but I hope they equally apply to Sohaab.

I still don't see how me saying I hate someone fits in though. Honestly I don't.

Meanwhile you continue to carry on like a bully. This is not good for PA, so cut it out.

Ok, easymoney  I don't know why I can't post comments like "I hate this guy" or why it should be a secret. Thought I was free to like or hate whoever.

Sohab came on strong at first and continues to do so in another thread, so that one is wrong.

I am not being a bully and am outraged that you call me one. I have tried to be reasonable with him despite his snide comments.

Whatever your issue with Admin action here can you take it to PM please.

I'm not trying to do anything...is there no justice?

Every time I address Easy Money it gets ignored. Brilliant!

If Admin want to ban me after all this trivial sh*t...then.....well maybe I just don't belong here anymore.

Thank you so much for your patience on this Sohrab, please don't let a few people on this site ruin your enjoyment, most of us are polite and civil as you will find out if you stick around.

Am i missing something here? Have I not been civil and helpful in the face of his constant  digging at me and others? What about my patience?

Thanks John.
i really don`t find any reason for such behaviors. can not get the point... we are all here for music and art not for fight... and i know most of the people are intellectual and of course more experienced than me, so i`m here to learn from them and to transfer my possibly useful knowledge as well. no individual one can prevent me in my positive way and turn me to a pessimistic situation.
Regards.

Hi,

It's a tough one ... and not everyone sees the same thing.

It's not hard to read the connection to Syd Barrett, Kevin Ayers, Robert Wyatt and Daevid Allen, and in the same house Allen Ginsberg and Edgar Burroughs are staying for a period of time ... and you know that these people were much better connected to the "art scene" than King Crimson was ...

King Crimson, unlike PF, is almost a "reaction band" when compared to Pink Floyd, however, they defined themselves well enough to be able to make a mark on their own with or without a Pink Floyd ... and remember ... above all ... that PF at that time was doing quite "pop" oriented music ... which is a nice treat for KC ... even if Syd had injected 2 songs that ... defied the definition and the rest of the work!

As I said before, the whole thing is not some idealistic concept that created "progressive" music ... these are intrinsically tied to the time and place and deserve that credit, or a lot of their music loses its source and soul.

No one is more important than anyone else. It took all of them to help cause the changes in music that took place and placing the change in one person ... ie, Jesus ... is like saying ... that we're now going to rewrite history so we can make a religion off "progressive" music.

I don't dislike the write up ... I do think that it could be better researched ... and it was quite obvious that PF was quite close to film, and other arts, of which one of their best friends, created one of the greatest arrays of album covers ever ,and is probably the most prolific artist out there in the 20th century ... 2nd to NONE!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I make sure to be as ignorant as possible about Pink Floyd not only on these forums, but everywhere I go. A man will ask me what my favorite track off of "Dark Side of the Moon" is and I respond "What about me makes you think I listen to the f**king Eagles?!"

As I don't like The Eagles music I don't get the connection.

Well, yeah, there IS no connection, that's...that's the joke.

All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad bugger's wall.

Reminds me of this thread...LOL
