You don't find graphic depictions of rape to be a little unsettling?

That's exactly why I called it "disturbingly good" in my previous post. Those scenes are tough to watch..some people find rape nothing more than animalistic behaviour.
Albeit I think it is a good movie..have to take the good with the bad.

Wow. You are a sick individual.

I was thinking something like that.  I never saw Clockwork Orange as 'fun' !

It is rather grim overall

There are loads of hilarious moments in A Clockwork Orange. It's certainly a dark and disturbing film, but there are comedic parts that cut the tension wonderfully. That's one of the things I love about it. One quick example, the part where Alex is in the hospital and he keeps popping his mouth open to receive bits of disgusting looking hospital meat cracks me up every time.

Tough one, they are both so great. I will vote for Cuckoo's Nest, as I don't think any other movie has affected me quite so deeply. I hate that nurse so much. But still, they are both amazing.

Admittedly very little. LOL Someday I'll try to though, and maybe remember this thread.

Both the movies and books are stunning masterpieces... I can't choose, personally.

If I remember correctly, the infamous rape scene in Clockwork Orange is played for laughs... now that's sick.

Alex DeLarge singing "Singin in the Rain" was actually Malcolm's idea. Tongue

I prefer Cuckoo's Nest for Chief Bromden and that great ending... and some real laugh out loud moments.

I have seen both movies but only read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.  I liked One Flew more, and I would probably feel the same if I read the books as A Clockwork Orange didn't even interest me enough to read it.
Which of you to gain me, tell, will risk uncertain pains of hell?
I will not forgive you if you will not take the chance.

for the movies? definitely Clockwork Orange.  It's the opposite for the books, however
