My thought's exactly - although the Made in Japan version beats The Song Remains the Same version - but let's stick to the studio versions for this comparison.

It's a dead heat! One more vote for Stairway and it would be a tie. Funny, I would vote for Stairway if I had the ability to vote... - - I like both songs though, as many have already said on here, but maybe because I've heard both songs about 6 times (I'm a young-un) that I chose the song that's (probably) most people's favorite (of the two) after the first time they heard it (radio overplay over the years has changed that previously stated opinion of those who initially liked it).
