Rush!
I've been slowly learning to appreciate Primus, but I can only take them in small doses. The last 20 years or so of Rush's career haven't really done much for me, but that may just be a lack of effort on my part.

I choose Rush. I really like both, but I like that Rush took themselves seriously. I really can't be moved by music that's just for silliness, even if the musicianship is superb.

They're both bands who have released a few albums that I love and considerably more that I feel quite indifferent about, but I chose Primus because (for me) they have a better hits to misses ratio.

Way cool. I've only got two Rush CDs, but I have pretty much every Primus album. I've known Rush a lot longer though. Claypool's Live Frogs Set 1 sucked me in four years ago. Even if you don't like Primus you have to give them the award for weirdness. Edited by Slartibartfast - November 17 2009 at 17:49 |

Yeah, it pretty much went as I thought it would, and I voted for Primus too BTW, even though I am a huge Rush fan. One of my fondest concert memories was seeing them share the same stage back in 1992 on Rush's Roll the Bones tour.

Dunno if you knew but this line is the Primus fanclub's official catch phrase. During live shows, many fans chant it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primus_(band) |

I can handle Claypools vocals. Lee's vocals tire on me very quickly. |
