Aha!  Well, you've learned a word. Smile

My sincerest apologies... Stacey.

No - sorry.  That's really not my style.  Please excuse the chatterings of an exhausted mind! LOL

No, Samantha, it's Zeuhl Artisanal (as in handmade stuff)!! Disapprove LOL

Ah, I see, you're just trying to reassert your apparent non-positiveness... or something. Tongue

He was a goldsmith, I believe.

Although now that I think about it, goldsmiths were all competent with silver as well.

Haha, well, I'm not terribly well-endowed! Tongue  I guess for the larger bust it would take on Valkyrie-armour proportions!! LOL

I'm still tempted to buy one from Seventh Records... I'm too lazy to make one myself.

It'd be pretty easy to make one out of that modelling clay stuff that you bake in the oven.  Or even a 'found object' - the bottom of a drinks can maybe??

Well, if you do buy one, you must submit a picture!

Melissa, is that silver-plated or completely silver?

It's solid silver. Big%20smile

I believe Vander says it's supposed to be a breastplate of some sort..

Exactly! Smile

If any rappers sampled Magma it would be underground ones that tend to have a far less conventional sound.

That has so much potential for awesome, but it'd be hard to find a Magma sample that doesn't overpower the rest of the song.

Haha, P. Diddly-Doddly does 'De Futura' - that would probably be hilarious. LOL

Someone with a ludicrously enormous ego might just be able to pull it off by being extra bombastic...

I see you took my advice. Tongue That's pretty awesome. Thumbs%20Up

I'm still on my mission to get mine... someday. Somehow. I might just buy one from Seventh. Not sure. Confused

Miss M.: did you happen to stencil that logo, 'cause the shape looks correct, or do you just have a good eye for detail?

Also, I notice yours is slightly curved, that's cool.  I think the official Seventh Records ones are flat.

Those are just a little too big for my liking... LOL

I love that picture!  Although... they do look a bit like they're waiting for a bus.  "Dammit, is the No. 54 ever going to arrive?!  If we miss that space flight I won't be responsible for my actions...  Grr, inefficient earth infrastructure...  WURDAH public transport!!" LOL

Well... there are instructions for drawing the shape somewhere on the 'Ork Alarm' site, but it's missing the explanatory diagram.  So I printed out some pictures of album covers and worked out that it's really a series of six nested circles (alternating between two different centre points).  When you've drawn those you get rid of the bit at the bottom where the circles overlap, and draw the 'pointy bit'. Tongue  (Can you tell I am useless at maths??)

I made a cardboard template thusly and away I went! Big%20smile

Yes, mine is slightly domed/convex.  Because... isn't it supposedly representative of some kind of armour plating that enfolds the body??  Something like that!  I think that may also be why the original ones were so flamboyantly enormous. Wink  Jewellery on a more tastefully discreet scale won't stop those nasty earth people from injuring your precious internal organs with their horrid guns, now will it??!! LOL

Size wise, I thought the Seventh ones looked a bit small, so mine's a bit bigger than those (I think); but yes, a 1970s hubcap version would look a bit silly!! LOL

Nice job, but I'd avoid Kobaian pubs for a while if I were you. :P

Why?? Confused

Wait a minute...  There are Kobaïan pubs?! Shocked

Good lord. LOL

In that case there must be Kobaïan pub jokes.  You know, "Pitiful earthling walks into a Kobaïan bar..."

It's too early for punchlines, but I'm sure someone can think of a few... Tongue

Because the ratio of male Magma fanboys to female Magma fanboys exceeds even James's time employed:time unemployed ratio which is extremely hard to do. Wink

A Kobaian walks into a bar and says *insert Kobaian word for ouch, Ouchntahk or something maybe*

I wonder if Magma has been hip hop sampled yet, I'm guessing so.
