Consorzio Acqua Potabile a k a CAP , 3 fabulous symphonic albums , great and generous people, huge prog fans and wonderfully devoted

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Probably Picchio dal Pozzo, but I've been revisiting Pierrot Lunaire a lot more than PdP these last months.

As much as I try to fight the obvious, I must say that PFM have worn me down ... I only know about 2/3 of the bands properly though ... for now ...

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

This is great stuff! I love the guitar work in this album.
Some other great 70's bands that are not mentioned yet:
Alphataurus - s/t
Alusa Fallax - Intorno alla mia Cattiva Educazione
Apoteosi - s/t
Campo di Marte - s/t
Cervello - Melos
J.E.T - Fede Speranza Carita
Latte e Miele - Passio Secundum Mattheum, Papillon
Osanna - Palepoli
Raccomandata Ricevuta Ritorno - Per... Un Mondo di Cristallo
Alan Sorrenti - Aria

If this argument was valid, I would never have approach any music whose lirics weren't sung ins spanish or italian, so I wouldn't get into anglosaxon prog. Come on, even now I have troubles in understanding most of the english lirics...

Please forgive me for my crappy english!

I find all these and many other 70's italian albums superior compared to anything released by the english bands. Some people seem to complain about the italian vocals. For me it's hard to understand this. I believe it's because I have loved the italian vocals since the first time I heard italian prog. I prefer italian vocals over english vocals any day. It doesen't bother me att all that I don't understand the vocals. Besides, in most cases the vocalists a simply fantastic. There are only a few english vocalists that can compare.
This is just my opinion. Needed to get this off my chest.

There are many greats, but no one can beat the beauty and greatness of Storia di un Minuto and Per un Amico.
Museo Rosenbach come in close second, followed by Area and Il Balleto di bronzo
