ClapClapClap - Yeah, right on....piano (a string instrument) but nonetheless the best for getting chord chemistry over and done with......and so much more.

I recommend psychedelic ukulele. For references, I suggest you check the Moody N00bs discography.

Like the man said, go to a music store and try out the kybds, there is really no other way to find what you want. Moogs are cool but overpriced.

That's why I said, go to a Guitar Center-like place and try 'em there.

I have no idea what brand or model to get, though.

In most of the "Recommend me a Keyboard" threads, half the people are saying 'LOL BUY A MELLOTRON'.

I would love to try synth, but I have no idea what kind to get. Are you knowledgeable on the subject?

Obviously you should start with a Moog.

Like the other guy said, don't start on soprano, too difficult, alto is a much better intro to saxology. Keyboards are the best because they make it easy to see how music theory works, scales and chords etc. Also it is easy to sound good on a kybd quicker because you don't have to deal with mouth formation and tone etc.

Flute would be sweet, but only if it was jazz flute. Cool
