Everything initially cool on the internet eventually becomes to streamlined and starts to suck. LOLcats make me happy, so they're not the problem. Cuteoverload.com speaks in the LOLcats-speak all the time, though, and it's very annoying. The cute animals make up for it, though. L33tspeak isn't as big a problem as it was a year ago. Blogs are somewhat annoying if they're only nobodies giving their opinions.

The internet is still neato, but everyday Myspace and Facebook bring us one step closer to living in the Matrix.

Anyway, the time it started to be perceived as a marketplace. Nowadays it's hard to find real information without either having to pay or running into a bunch of crap written just so that you'll look at the ads surrounding it.

Anyway, Maddox puts it rather well:

Like many things (television, movies, music, etc.), only a fraction of the internet doesn't suck.  These days, I basically only go on music sites, online shops for music and sometimes books or other things, and random information sites such as wikipedia.

And I lied, all television sucks. Wink

I think once the internet because fad central (be it Myspace, various game sites taht every kid has to go on) and another outlet for corporate omnipresence, it was t3h sux. Wink
