this was a tough one.
i must say moonmadness or mirage, can't decide. of the more recent stuff, definitely rajaz. personally i think snow goose is overrated if you compare it with the rest of camel's albums, but it's still a masterpiece. |

For me, it's Mirage by a country mile ... although I think everything
up to and including Breathless is really worth checking out ...

To be honest, I like everyone of these albums apart from 'The Single Factor', but the one that works best as a whole is 'The Snow Goose', which is also one of the great concept albums.

Thanks for posting this poll. I had been considering something along these lines since I d/l'ed the "Lady Fantasy" MP3 from this site and enjoy it very much. I had been wondering where to start with this band that I know very little about.

With first thought everybody, including me says Mirage.I voted stationary traveller as the best one because I think it is just equal to Mirage, and also really underestimated.I bought this album before one year and a half and I still listen to it.In my opinion it has some of the most sensitive songs Andy ever composed.

I had a tape off the TV too - but it went missing during my college years Thanks for the link - I'd forgotten that "Lady Fantasy" is part of that concert, but I do remember it had a stunning sound! I am sooo buying that! Edited by Certif1ed |

I agree 'Stationary Traveller' features some really great songs, although there are some terrible post-Single Factor ones. Long Goodbyes is also one of my favourite Camel songs, alongside 'Lady Fantasy', 'Sahara', 'Rhayader' and 'Hopeless Anger'. |
