I would go for Keeper 1 or 2, can't decide their last good effort was Better than Raw, probably the best with Deris

This thread's in the general music discussions BO.
Tough choice, but I went for the diversity of Chameleon.

What the hell, Helloween on PA??
Come on guys wake up this is heavy metal all the way, and the precursors of power metal that we know today. Anyway Kepper II is among the best albums ever in music, no doubt.

I have to admit that I lost interest in them after Keeper 2, voted for Keeper 1.

Keeper shouldn't be considered two albums since that was their label's desire.. the band wanted to release a double LP actually.. anyway, Keeper.. 1 for me followed by Keeper..2 and The Dark Ride..
Hansen is the greatest persona in teutonic metal but his vocals in Walls suck.. they may be considered cult now but that doesn't change anything.. i like him better with Gamma Ray..

I couldn't agree more! Keeper 1 & Keeper 2 are OK, but WALLS OF JERICHO is a masterpiece of speed metal! Hansen's singing is not that "technical", but I just love his voice. I like Gamma Ray as well, in fact I think it's much better than Helloween.

"CHAMELEON" is the album more sperimental of Helloween... Is also Prog Metal.
But "WALLS OF JERICHO" and the "KEEPERS OF THE SEVEN KEYS" pt 1 & 2 are the more good. "PINK BUBBLES GO APE" and "TIME OF THE OAT" are between my favourite Metal album of all time...
So it is terribly difficult... Being lacking "METAL JUKE-BOX"... Well... I vote for "KEEPERS OF THE SEVEN KEYS" pt. 1, my first Helloween album!!!

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I think Keeper part 2 had the most good songs. Part 1 had its moments, just not as consitent. I liked some of their later material thta I heard on High Live. A good band for sure.

Keeper of the Seven Keys 1 for me.I was never a big fan,but I saw them open for Exodus and Anthrax back in the day and they were really killer live.

I was playing 'Keeper Of The Seven Keys' earlier- a rarity for me in the 'power metal' world as it doesn't get too cheesy for my taste. I really like that one so it gets my vote.
The sequel does get corny in parts though, imho. Never heard 'The Legacy'.
