Hahahaha...I told him, spoke to him a view times already, he simply laughed and apologised and was baffled at the fact that it happened.

It doesn't cost anything. It was just one of the features in the latest iTunes update (there was some other very cool stuff in it too).

You should buy another brand anyway - especially if you don't need the proprietary functions (iTunes-DRM). Make sure you buy a player which is compatible with Microsoft-DRM (playsForSure).

Cool, but I had assumed you could play them gapless anyway?  I know I can with my Creative mp3 player (bought it inexpensively in Hong Kong more than year ago).

I want a spyPOD!

I have a 6GB player and it's more than enough. My entire collection will never fit on a mobile player ... I know, the drives get bigger and bigger, but so does the audio quality of the files. If I had a 60GB player, I'd use WMA Lossless instead of mp3!

That still doesn’t even come close to compensating for all the other problems with ipods.

I don't know what these problems are. I've had my 20 gig for a year, use it every day, and no problems.

same here

my mini works perfectly

My ipod won't play out of the right speaker of my headphones unless it is pressed very hard to the right (the headphone jack)...and yes, its not the headphones, because they work on every other thing and any other set of headphones does the same thing

Yep, I'd heard the news too.

Keep an eye on the following Web site, as Leo Davidson is about to update his detailed report on the new gapless players (see UPDATE NOTICE at the top of the page). Best report I have seen on gapless.

This is amazing!!

Gapless = no second gaps between songs

And i put this in non-music prog lounge because it is directly related to music, and it is also directly related to prog music but i knew id get crushed if it were in prog lounge.

Great news ... now iPods can do what even my crappy Panasonic mp3 player could do 5 years ago.Wink
