Topic: Marillion vs. Yacht Rock Posted: September 12 2006 at 14:45 |
From Urban Dictionary: 2. |
Yacht Rock |
|
2 up, 9 down |
|
|
|
Yacht
rock is cheesy pop rock music from the 80s and 90s. Artists like
Michael McDonald, Kenny G, Stevie Nicks, Toto and a host of other
similar bands comprise artists who performed this music. Think of dudes
in their 50s cruising the harbor and snorting cocaine on their yachts
blasting Kenny G and you will be able to picture those who enjoy yacht
rock
I saw Billy's dad out
in Newport Beach the other day cranking out some yacht rock. It made me
want to vomit a shade of teal blue puke |

Could you not call Yak rock simply Tibetan RnR like everybody else?
I suppose the Yacht rock is an evolution of corporate rock

Wow! This is the best combination of pop corn/music I have ever experienced in my life! Not to mention my first one too...

Thanks Rocktopus. It's just a bit of fun amongst themselves and I personally don't like the idea of it. They can discuss Marillion and Yacht Rock (whatever that is... something to do with Kenny Loggins I think) via PMs or a chat client.

Then why don't you not ever discuss these groups: VdGG OOIOO Robert Wyatt Astrid Proll And how much Rock Bottom pwns everything else You fall victim to constantly talking about certain groups as well, so don't act like you don't.
