How could I have missed such unforgivable blasphemy? Vengeance shall be taken.... Anyway, I knew I could always count on my dear fellow Horseman to defend the honour of DP...My hero! I might even forgive you your continuous attacks on my beloved Rush....

Just about everything I can. I always found them more jazzy then proggy. |

Deep Purple - boring. Richie Blackmore sticking his guitar into a camera at Cal Jam because he knew Emerson's flying piano was better than anything they could come up with. Saw them again recently Zzzzzzzzzzzz. About as progressive as my hemaroids.
Have you seen the DVD 72/73?
If you saw them recently, Ritchie Blackmore wasnīt the guitarist. He hasnīt been in the band for the last ten years!
Queen - do me a favour..why do people rate this mediocre rip off group.
Listen to Queen 2
Radiohead. OK - or should I say totally unique and brilliant. No, just OK.
Don't know the rest i'm sad to say...

But seriously my reason for the Beatles on shaky ground is the fact that they are included but artists like Miles Davis and John Coltrane are excluded. Davis invented fusion and Coltrane's work was avant garde and had an effect on the psychie of a lot of prog musicians. Come to think of it if the Beatles are here Stochausen should be. I think having the Beatles here opens a whole can of worms and creates a lot of inconsistencies on the website. I have nothing against their music I';ve owned a couple of their albums.

I'd still like to understand why anyone would hold those rather mystifying opinions.
