Iron Maiden and Killers are two of the most important albums to come out of the NWOBHM.

I count Killers as one of their best.

Killers is the worst 80's maiden album IMO and infact i can only come up with Fear of the dark as a even worser album...but then again maiden has never delivered a truly bad album (except for FOTD)

I'm actually love each and every single Dickinson and Blaze era album... The Live versions of Wrathchild or Murders in the Rue Morgue are awesome with Bruce Bruce on the mike. Maiden never released a bad album... I love them all... the only problem i have with the 1st 2 are the vocals...

I like Dickinson but could never understand why some Maiden fans hate DiAnno,he had a great voice.

Paul DiAnno was much more powerful than Bruce Bruce (and Paul was a pure brute)
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

My head is still ringing from my first listening of Number Of the Beast, some 20 years ago! Killers and Piece of Mind come in a blurry second. I pretty muched stopped after Powerslave, yet Running Free from the debut is frequently in my metal roundabout. Up the Irons!
Here I'm shadowed by a dragon fig tree's fan
ringed by ants and musing over man.

I have quite a lot of these albums, but I don't give them a spin anymore as much as in the '80 and '90....

But here's my top 5:

1. Seventh Son

2. Powerslave

3. The Number of the Beast

4. Somewhere in time

5. Brave New World

As for me...

1. Powerslave
2. Piece of Mind
3. The Number of the Beast (in my top 3 for the first time ever believe it or not)
4. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son/Somewhere in Time/Killers
7. Iron Maiden
8. Dance of Death
9. The X Factor
10. Virtual XI
11. Brave New World
12. Fear of the Dark
13. No Prayer for the Dying

But I'd choose Beast Over Hammersmith over all of them.

2. Iron Maiden

3. Killers / The Number Of The Beast / Brave New World (can't choose)

# 1. and 2. are probably their most proggy ones as well.
