I sing/play guitar in a progressive rock band called "the infinite machine". We're influenced equally by the classic progressive bands, neo prog, and new progressive acts such as dredg, porcupine tree, dream theater, coheed, TMV etc.... you can download/stream 3 songs here: http://myspace.com/theinfinitemachine . Add me to the 'Sort-of' category. I'm not in a band, but I play one on CD-R. I'm a one-man-band, using the computer & virtual instruments to sound like a band. I've got music all over the place: MySpace, AudioStreet, Soundclick, others. Name of the band is Aardvark. Complete with FAKE band bio. It's not all that Prog, although the last several pieces I've posted contain plenty of tempo & time signature changes. Link to MySpace is in my signature for those willing to brave the Aardvark. I'm in a prog band. I was in an alternative/experimental band before this one
for about 4 years but a couple of months ago I started a 3 piece prog band. We're trying to do something different, a ska/reggae/funk type approach to prog with an old prog/newer experimental rock type sound. I'll post when we have a song recorded. |

Im a keyboardist in a Instrumental Rock band. We sortof like to add elements of Jazz and Classical to Rock music, making it more melodic and complex, but I wouldn't call it prog because it's not nearly as complicated and insane as some of the prog bands out there. If anyone wants to hear some of the stuff we recorded PM me, I really need some feedback from people who know what they are talking about - preferably musicians! (The songs are sortof long and I don't know if they can fit in my email, so if anyone has any ideas of how I am supposed to send them, PM me about that too ) |
