Hence the "RIP" line. Yeti was a quartet. Doug died in 2002, while Tommy died in 2010. After Doug died, they continued as a trio and released an EP, a full album, and a final single containing an 18-minute track, "The Man with the Lamp." Their sound wasn't as overtly prog as it was on Things to Come, though. |

Recorded in 1974 and included in its unabridged, unadjusted form for the first time in the ISOH box, it's a true grail. First track. |

No, will look for it. Thanks.
I like that Death Wish soundtrack. Yeah, Herbie be killing it. I would be uncomfortable buying an album if I knew the artist did something deplorable and had not "repented/ reformed. I think it's okay if it's second-hand and money is not going to the artist (even if it's just to pay for candy bars in the prison canteen). I know about the murder and the ties to Manson but not why he ended up with a true life sentence (a death sentence originally).... Commonly that is for people who are completely unrepentant and still considered a danger or re-offend in prison (he has been locked up a very long time). I also have listened to Manson's music, but streaming. In that case I knew his story and was just curious. I have had an interest in cults and religions and what people are willing to do for them, the leaders, and that sense of belonging to something that makes you feel special. In the case of Beausoleil the case was different than others who get involved with cult leaders. EDIT: By the way, the murderer is Bobby Beausoleil, who was associated with Charles Manson. The English band Telepathy, formed in 2011 in Essex, released their first full-length album entitled "12 Areas" in 2014 on the UK label Devouter Records. The record is a masterwork of experimental metal that takes the listener on a thorough journey through a variety of imaginative realms. Not only did "12 Areas" prove to be a rewarding album regarding the huge effort the band invested, but they also exceeded all expectations. It succeeded in being entirely captivating while addressing the dare associated with heavy instrumental music in a novel way. The arrangements are standout, and there is never a lack of passion.

I wasn't trying to shame you. I was just curious if you knew that. I personally don't think I could pull the trigger on buying an album knowing someone killed someone (ok, bad pun) but that's just me. Anyway, like you said you didn't know it at the time.

^ Yep, and it's still one of my favourite albums. That said, when I fell for it I did not yet know his history. It's the music I find great, and not the man.

Though not accepted in PA, I would have to say the two albums by Giger Lenz Marron-Beyond, and Where The Hammer Hangs.....other worldly, but somehow accessible. (for me, anyways)
Also a tip of the hat to Passport's greatest album, Looking Thru....
