Yeah, just when I was raggin' on Dave, micky popped up. When I asked him where he'd been, he said that he was ill due to stress, and lying low. I never got a chance to follow up as he went off the radar again. I think that 'ring modulator's was a joke between dean and I. Or a joke on dean, where ever he is. Or joke on me. I kind of forgot.

Glad we're all getting along now. :) Just wish I'd never starting that stupid texting thread lol.
Anyway, I agree with others earlier in this thread who said that Abbey Road is more prog than Sgt. Pepper's.

Yes, I suppose that they would have to be in order to fit PA's criteria.
Seriously, you did scare me with that one, David.

Man, that guy is a major-league head case. | You've been here longer than I have and I remember loads of people telling you to write your posts in English. Nothing new there. It is also stipulated in the forum guldelines ie use the English language. The way you go about this makes it look like you're only in it for the kicks - throw some gas on the bonfire. I also appreciate the insult, thank you. When resorting to namecalling you're basically throwing in the towel.

I just listened to the album actually and I guess you're halfright about Lucy and with a little help from my friends (although the latter doesn't quite feel like a rock tune before in landed in Joe Cocker's lap). The rest sounds like baroque pop with a bit of rock perchance? So yeah we probably have different definitions But a prog album? Nahh...

Ummm....we are now past the point of what constitutes "prog" and are now questioning if Sgt. Pepper is a "rock" album? That was certainly an unexpected turn of events.
David, I would suggest "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", "Good Morning Good Morning", "Getting Better", or "With a Little Help From My Friends" are certainly all "rock" songs in a literal sense. Unless your definition of "rock" is completely different than mine.

That is exactly my point. Both The Beatles and The Beach Boys are heralded in this thread for having made the first prog album, yet neither of those albums are rock. They may be progressive, just like the ones I mentioned, but they're not rock.

Cause they're classical music, that's why. (the other two jazz)
