The Twilight Zone started in the late 1950s. Star Trek in the late 60s. Both have their share of similarities. Which do you prefer?

The Twilight Zone theme is my ringtone. It's perfect when I get a call during an eerie moment.

Fun fact: The '85 Twilight Zone TV theme was performed by the Grateful Dead.Cool

Not voting for Star Trek would be highly illogical.

I'd hate to vote against either one.  Both shows had Shatner (and for that matter, Jimmy Doohan), but only one had Nimoy.  I'll give it to Trek since overall, it has been a bigger part of my life.

As much as I hate to vote against Star Trek in this case I must.  Twilight Zone (original series) was so ahead of its time.  It was some eight years ahead of Star Trek and the stories were so intense.

Star Trek, but not by much. Twilight Zone is also amazing.

I don't think we would have had Star Trek were it not for the Twilight Zone.  But I've seen all the episodes so much that if you were to put a TZ episode on TV against an ST episode, I'd probably go for the TZ.  Unless of course it's one I've seen a lot of times as well and then it would depend.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Actually, Nimoy was on both shows. He was in an episode called "A Quality of Mercy". Anyway, The Twilight Zone is my favorite show of all-time, so, that is where my vote went. I do love the original Star Trek series though. Both shows are awesome!

I haven't seen that episode.  I've seen the entire first 2 seasons and a handful of the others, but now I know which episode I'll watch next. Big smile

Twilight Zone was the most progressive show of its time....some of those episodes took a couple viewings to really understand.

LOve TZ but hard to beat the premise and characters that made ST the beast it became.
