Hi guys

Our August remastered discs are now all at factory and should be in on time. They are the following

Cafe Jacques-Round the Back
Cafe Jacques-International
(these are excellent "Canterbury flavoured" releases featuring Phil Collins(yes that one) and Geoffrey Richardson and produced by Rupert Hine)definitely imo worth a listen if you dont know them. Try Round the Back First.

Banco-Banco
Banco-As in a Last Supper

Really lovely Phil Smee artwork on these well regarded titles from the Italian proggers.

Juicy Lucy-Juicy Lucy
Juicy Lucy-Lie Back and Enjoy It

Barclay James Harvest-Concert for the People (berlin) Lovely 30th anniversary digi pack version with new artwork.
Eagle Rock also have the restored DVD of this title out in August with some nice bonus footage from the time of "Time Honoured Ghosts"

Blonde on Blonde-Contrasts.
Excellent cult album.

Septembers releases as follows

Ray Thomas --From Mighty Oaks/Hopes and Dreams
4 disc box set from the ex Moody Blues member. Contains the two original solo albums remastered plus 5.1 of from Mighty Oaks, some promo footage, a great interview and a brand new unreleased track recorded for this edition. The release has had Rays full involvement (and a real gent he is too) Ray also has a new website up and running. www.raythomas.me. This title is up on the website for pre-order (cheaper than Amazon!!) www.esotericrecordings.com

PFM Cook--Great triple mini box set of one of PFMs finest and most sought after. Bonus discs of the full Central Park gig. Again this is already up on the website for pre-order www.esotericrecordings.com

Deuter-D
Deuter-Aum
Excellent "kraut rock" If you like Mike Oldfield/Bo Hansson etc -you may well like Deuter.

Here and Now-All over the Show
Here and Now--Give and Take
Great anarchic prog/space/punk. If you like Gong, Hawkwind, Inner City Unit etc, this may be your bag.

Peter Bardens-Peter Bardens
Peter Bardens-The Answer
Two lovely solo albums from the Camel keyboard maestro-sadly no longer with us.

Hawkwind-Space Bandits
Dont think HW really need explaining. This release is from 1990 and would feature new member Bridget Wishart.

Octobers releases arent totally finalised as we are waiting for some expected clearances that we would like to pop in there-- but at the moment are as follows but will be added to.

Machiavel-Mechanical Moonbeams
Machiavel-Jester
Out of Focus-Wake Up
Out of Focus-4 letter Monday afternoon (double)
Titus Groan-Titus Groan
Randy California-Kaptain Kopter and the Fabulous Twirlybirds

If anyone would still like to join my Esoteric CD Club please feel free to get in touch. Costs £45.00 to join and you can then choose (as part of the £45) any 5 discs of your choice (excluding the Jack Brice box set and the 2 Hawkwind mini box sets)this includes postage. These can be titles already out or ones still to come and can be taken in ones and twos etc, you dont have to have all 5 at once.
Once all 5 are used up single Cds are £8.00 (inc postage) if UK or Europe based and £9.50 if based outisde of Europe. Doubles are £9.50 if UK/Europe based ad £11.00 if based outside. mini box sets etc are always priced below Amazon for members. All payments are made by paypal to [email protected] and members receive a monthly update and deal direct with myself rather than the website. I do have a couple of UK members that pay on CHQ too if they cannot use paypal. If interested you can email me at [email protected]

As always many thanks for the support for the label. If anyone would like a recommendation of a good book that explains in detail how the business works these days I can recommend "Last Shop Standing" by Graham Jones,(of Proper Distribution) a great (and funny yet sad) read on the plight of the independent record shop --its a far better read than it may sound and provides many insights into past practices such as rigging, hype and unusual customer requests etc! ironically you can get this easily at Amazon!

Finally as mentioned if you do buy our titles but not directly please support those specialist mail order companies out there who definitely stock the genuine article--we are aware of a few pirated editions of a few titles and e-bay/Amazon marketplace have all proved to have guilty parties in this respect.

Kind Regards to all

Excellent stuff! I hadn't realised there were so many good CDs there, will definitely be buying some when I have the cash - Mellow Candle for starters.

I remember that Juicy Lucy album - my sister had it when it first came out.

I just picked up Softs and Bundles by The Soft Machine (bought them through Burning Shed site) - both or which were remastered and re-released recently.  They sound wonderful.
