Yuck. What a horrible year for prog. I'll go with Hawkwind, as it's the only one I can listen to in one sitting.

Misplaced Childhood or The Wake - IQ gets it for me by a fraction.

I'm a big fan of The Jewel, that one gets my vote.

I also like The Wake and Misplaced Childhood a lot.

Same here, but I might have voted for Present as well. IQ was the most magical neo act at the time, and remains now a solid veteran 25 years later: this band surpassed (by a little margin) the robustness of neo pioneers Twelfth Night and surpassed teh compositional brilliancy of rivals/colleagues Marillion. While the latter were becoming softer, the latter became darker (at least, until Paul Menel got in...).

Kind regards from Lima.

I can't believe Metal Fatigue hasn't got a vote.

Haven't heard Power Windows, it had better be really good!

Metal Fatigue has two votes now, much better than Power Windows.

Methinks this might get a bit one-sided. Long live the 80s!

Misplaced Childhood has enough votes, so I vote for The Wake.
Brother Where You Bound is third.

My vote goes to IQ's The Wake - I'm very much looking forward to seeing them performing it live in its entirety this October when they play The Met in Bury Big smile !!
