LA PERRA 
LA PERRA is a mexican group that mixes rock, jazz, fusion and contemporary avant-garde, in thsi way generating a musical language of their own from two instruments: drum kit and bass guitar, with no samplings and no pre-recorded tapes whatsoever. 
LA PERRA has been around for 15 years and still there will be more from this due that has fiercely assumed the challenge of creating innovative music that doesn't rely on a melodic-harmonic instrument, using the bass-drum kit source as a way to get out of usual performance and compositional standards. 
A very prolific band, with lots of room for improvisational developments, they have recorded three albums so far:  
La perra (first edition: 1997; second edition:1998) 
Fricción Visual (2001) 
Romance con la ira (2006) 

LA PERRA is currently working on their fourthcoming fourth studio effort.
