Topic: Silk Degrees vs Moondance Posted: January 11 2010 at 14:47 |
Both albums are similar, Jazzy flavoured blues by two (by my impression underrated singers) i havent heard them but Van Morrison even have some 10 min epics in his catalouge.
this are probably not many proggers are interested in but i think those particular albums are verry good, both the soundproduction and musicanship is verry good, verry good arrangement, both albums lice in the borderline between jazz, r'n'b, soul, funk and pop. they also are both unice albums in that way
Steely Dans Aja can also be compared with those albums
two masterpices in jazz rock (not fusion)

Not a Boz Scaggs fan, except for one song off his debut, "Somebody Loan Me a Dime", and his stuff with the early Steve Miller Band. I have "Moondance" and "Tupelo Honey" by Van M.
