So me and my band mate have been very uncertain of what genre of rock to place this song in. Any suggestions??? We just recently went to the studio and we need to label this in some way. So far we're going with alternative.

indie rock is a catch-all term that you can never go wrong with. Don't tell me you're major label.

If you call it progressive rock, fans will say "how about the darkwave influences?" Usually progheads will shake their heads.

if you can use multiple genre tags, use them.

if you wanna gain more popularity, include Britpop. It's not far off.

Thanks Paganino Smile Interesting thoughts and appreciate that you took some time to write back! I'll have to look into that Britpop suggestion. That's a first I've heard with our music...Smile
