SCH were extremely alternative and experimental band/project that pushed the boundaries of "extreme music". Influenced by vast array of artistic styles and aesthetics from Krautrock, Avant-prog, punk, hard-core, industrial, noise and finally electronica, they built up a cult-like following across former Yugoslavia.

I think their inclusion to PA will be justified, especially for fans of Krautrock, electronica, Avant-prog, post-rock and RIO... However, I am not sure under which genre they would fit more properly, because SCH changed styles considerably, since 1983 when they began as new wave/punk/reggae band. Then from 1985-95 they were noise/psych/industrial rock and finally since 2002 they pursue more experimental, ambient techno-electronic minimalism....

Here you can listen to some samples....

If admitted, I volunteer to provide a full bio with discography. Big smile

Interesting stuffs I've felt - now cannot realize whether they should be fit for psych genre or not (fitter for electronic?), I'm gonna take them back home (psych genre chart) okay? Wink

You are right, they have psych elements too, but those are very heavy and noisy psych elements. Of course their "electronic" phase also revokes sometimes a "Kosmische muzik" from German 1970s Krautrock scene, but both early Tangerine Dream or Can and later post-punk industrial rhythms as those of DAF or Einsturzende Neubauten are heavily present. They are very eclectic sometimes... Hm, I just used the word that is present in one of the PA genres...Wink

Out of their 11 official audio releases until now, roughly 4 albums belong to Electronic style (computers, programming, synths and guitars) - contemporary phase, while 7 are heavy/psych/noise/industrial (more or less classic rock lineup of guitars, bass and drums, with additional synths, loops and nooisy stuff) - past phase.

Sorry Seyo but SCH were rejected by Psych/Space team because of their weakness of typical psych elements.
IMHO, fitter for electronic?...now evaluated by RIO/avant team as well.

Thanks Damo for your reply. In order to help different teams evaluate this band here are two albums:

- During Wartime Again represents a pinnacle of their heavy-noise rock

- Dance represents for me the best moment of their electronic phase

Enjoy! Wink

Grupa 220 is famous of their early debut from 1968 (beat/psych/folk-rock). During mid 1970s they issued the second LP which is more heavy prog/hard rock.

Never heard of "Draco". Can you provide some more details?
Thanks.

Ah, Drago Mlinarec! Yes he is a prominent singer/songwriter who helped expanding the beat and rock sound with pastoral folk-rock, Floydian prog rock and some elements of jazz and pop. Highly recommended are his first 3 albums listed here above. Thumbs Up
