Travelin’ (Act 1, Scene 1)

Ever since I was a young lad I’ve been afraid

That some day I’d be an older man; memories fade

But time flies and days go by and I’ve aged

But I’m still as young at heart as I was that day

I Said,

“I’ll never grow old,

I’ll never grow old.”

And ever since then I been wanderin’ - Away

Ever since then I been travelin’ - Away

Ever since then I been unravelin’ - I’m frayed

Yeah ever since then I been travelin’ - Away

And I ain’t got no

Destination (Act 1, Scene 2)

Destination

I am the wanderer who’s path leads nowhere

I cannot get lost but I cannot be found

If you’d like to journey then I’ll see you there

At the edge of the earth where the sky meets the ground

Oh Yeah!

At the destination

At the destination

For ages I’ve conquered unbearable lands

Treacherous pathways I have overcome

If you’d like to journey places unfit for man

Then come to the end where the moon meets the sun

Oh Yeah I ain’t got no destination

No destination

No destination

Card Castle (Act 1, Scene 3)

Sand’s blowin’ in my face

As I wander the dunes

I navigate

By the light of the moon

Rising up in the evening sky

Oh the cold grows so strong

Don’t you know?

I been across the baron and the bleak

Been walking all my time

But I still have not grown weak

Oh yeah!

Oh! Yeah! Oh! Yeah!

And I see the castle made of cards

Walls made of spades, diamonds and clubs

The slightest breeze to send them crashin’ down

Like a shadow I slipped inside

I found a fortunes worth of gold

Thieving all that I could hold

The king sent out his men (oh yeah) for my head

I deviate from the forces behind

I navigate by the light of the dawn

The suns rising in the morning sky

Oh the heat grows so strong

Birds of prey follow above me

As I wither they patiently wait

I am lost; travelin’ in circles

I see my footsteps which I laid down once before

Now I’m alone

By now the kings men must be drawin’ nearer

I must venture to find a safer place

In this deck of cards I am the thief, the joker

Not needed but I stay here anyway

I deviate from the forces behind

The sun depreciates

The moon steals it light

Rising once again in the evening sky

Oh my map returns

An Offering (Act 1, Scene 4)

Well I walked into the bar and I sat down at my stool

It wasn’t long until a man walked up to me and kindly said,

“I know who you are, you’re the man on the wanted sign.
The wanderer who’s wanted for his life”

I replied,

“I am the wanderer who’s path leads nowhere

I cannot be lost but I cannot be found

If you would like to join me then I will see you there

At the edge of the earth where the sky meets the ground,
The ground
Alright!

There’s so many places, so much to be seen

But many of these things I wish that I had not

But if you would like to view things that live in your dreams

Than come to the land that the world has forgot”

Dead or Alive (Act 1, Scene 5)

I ain’t got time to waste

I ain’t got many days

I’m wanted for my life

I ain’t got time to waste

I ain’t got many days

I’m wanted dead or alive

But if you wanna take your chances and see

See all the things that the world can be

Why don’t you come a walkin’ with me

Live hard

Live free

I ain’t got longer now

Each day I’m counting down

Death lurks behind each corner

I ain’t got longer now

I must escape somehow

I cannot live this horror

And I’ve been runnin’ away

And times catchin’ up to me

And now I’m ready to go

On my own

But if you wanna take your chances and see

See all the things that the world can be

Why don’t you come a walkin’ with me

Live hard

Live free

Oasis (Act 2, Scene 1)

Walkin’ through the desert but I ain’t seen nothin’ real

Water on the horizon but it always disappears

Searchin’ for the oasis where the palm trees shade-

Me

Dreamin’ of cool water trickling my toes

The s-s-s-sensation

No one knows where my oasis lies

Under the clear blue skies

In the desert dry I’ll spend my time well reclined

Relaxing at my pleasure

Smoke and Mirrors (Act 2, Scene 2)

Grains of sand sparkle beneath my feet

I do believe I’m getting closer

Shadows cast from the pathway which I stray

The earth she is my guide

And through all the smoke and mirrors I found a way

Things aren’t always how they appear these days

These days, these days

I found my way

My memory triggers as I slip away

A blast from the past, it happened so fast

My destination she calls to me its hard to say

How I came to this place

My feelings have guided me

So naturally

And through all the smoke and mirrors I found a way
Things aren’t always how they appear these days

These days, these days, these days

I found my way

She Waits For Me (Act 2, Scene 3)

Time she waits for me

Time she waits for me

Time she waits for me

Time she waits for me

Don’t you worry ‘bout the past

Time could never last so long

Sand slips through the hour glass as it falls

And I believe that time-time-

Time she waits for me

She waits for me

Time: She waits for me

Life: She isn’t cheap

It’s by the way she walks, the way she talks

I cannot solve her mystery

It’s how the story goes and I’ll always know

She waits for me

She waits for me

Time: She isn’t cheap

I said that life: She’ll cause you grief

All the pain she caused

Just a simple cost

On her ever tolling fee

It’s how the story goes

And I’ll always know she waits for me

Don’t you worry ‘bout the past

Time could never last so long

Sand slips through the hour glass as it falls

And I believe that time-time-

She waits for me

The moon is red in the sky tonight

Oh the prophet said that it would shine so bright

That the oasis which I call my home

Would no longer be hidden from all those who roam

The sands tonight

Well all the kings horses and all the kings men

Have come out in forces to deliver my head

And the price which he offers is worth more then my soul

And the mark of another says I can’t stay I must go

Back to the desert; back to the unknown

Back to the old times and that which I know

Far too well

The Road (Act 2, Scene 4)

And I know my time has come

Back to the desert I run

The sands have lifted to the sky

The lands shifted to the nigh

And I’ll carry on whether I’m right or wrong

I’d rather fall than lose the fight

Stars beam my journey begins

Never to be seen again

Knights ride swiftly

To surrender my life

But I’m so slippery

They’ll never take me alive

I am the wanderer who’s path leads nowhere

I cannot be lost but I cannot be found

If you’d like to join me then I’ll see you there

At the edge of the earth where the sky meets the ground

And I’m’a start down the road!

I’m on the road

I’m on the road

Back to my home

That which I know

I’m on the road

I’m on the road

He’s on the road

I’m on the road

Back to my home

I’m on the road

I’m on the road

He’s on the road

Back to his home

Yeah the road

That which he knows

I’m on the road

Back to my home

That which I know

I’m on the road

I’m on the road
