I suppose it's not obviously 'prog' in the same way that for example,
Neu, Genesis, Yes, Till, Crimson, ELP, Dream Theatre, etc are. It's
hard as there has to be a line in the sand drawn somwhere I think.

metallica only have a few prog tracks. Call of ktulu, orion, To Live is to Die, One, And Justice For All, Master of Puppets. Thas about it. It could be argued that MOP and AJFA are prog metal albums but everything else is standard metal.

I wouldn't say they Prog but had their EPIC moments I'm not saying more than that! But as we are on the Subject I saw then in a added on a Prog Rock Website not this one of course but still odd though! NO I DONT THINK THEY ARE AN ADDITION FOR THE ARCHIVES! For me RIDE THE LIGHTNING is the Defination Album for Them! |
