Well the title says it all really. I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to put in their top ten albums somewhere on their profile pages. That way, it makes it easier to get a good idea other people's music tastes on this site. What do you all think?

I think it would be a good idea for the people who do have Top Ten albums... Personally, I don't - I used to be very big on making lists like that when I was younger, but now I am not really interested in it any longer. It would take me a lot of effort to think about such a thing, and the results would not probably be wholly truthful.

I agree with Raff. This might be a good feature, but... it could be extremely subjective and not near as representative as would be liked.

Besides, if people want to know how people feel on certain albums, that's what the forums are for: to discuss prog albums, tastes, and talk among other prog lovers whilst getting to know them better. Smile

There's also the matter that taste may be able to be told through reviews.

Of course, it would be entirely optional. Just so those people who actually have a top ten albums can let the entire community know.

^2 lists? Prog-Related/Proto and Non Prog make 1 list, the other is Prog?

I like the idea.

Sounds good actually, or it could be one list but flexible to non-prog with the albums listed.

Well the people who don't bother to rate 10 albums 5 stars are probably not going to be the ones to bother making frivolous lists. However, I do think that letting everyone have a brief bio to generally describe their taste and interests would be helpful.

Maybe give the options for both, bio, list or neither?
