Hello  all. I thought i'd put up the link to some of my songs  I recorded last year, all done in my living room. but the quality's not bad. Not exactly prog. But I'd appreciate it if you listened and gave some (positive) feedback .

All songs are Original and Recorded by moi.

Thanks very much.

Chris.

Chris,
I like the screename. I tried
http://www.soundclick.com/chrisblackwell
But I got a 404 message. And watch out, negitive feedback
is always out there when you put your art out there. What
matters is what you think anyway. I look forward to
hearing your stuff. I'll try again.

Chris,
I got to take alisten. the URL is
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/3/chrisblackwellmusic.htm
Interesting stuff. I hear some early Pink Floyd as well
as Moody Blues influences. I liked the bass runs in "I'll
cry". The harmonies On "Frontier's Edge" were well done
also.
Thanks for sharing your music. Enj

Nice music, what synth did you use on "I cry"? It sounds like Farfisa organ.

The 'synth' was my casio on setting 61 going through a 4 track tape recorder into my digital 8 track. I used the freq knobs on the 4Track to make it go all swoosy(for lack of a better word).

Can't beat the ole Casio!!

Cheers for the comments.

firth_of_Fifth,

Not bad at all.
You played all the instruments yourself using multi-track,
or did other band members help out ?

You Brits are always so very creative

Stay with it... And listen to a wide variety of music to help expand your skills.

My stuff, if you're interested in giving it a listen (I too am interested in feedback).  I did them many years ago, and so would probably make some major changes were i to do these numbers over again
.

I'm listening to your music, it sounds really good, old style folk prog (May I say?). You should seriously think about getting together with some other talented musicians and start something going with your compositions. Just imagine the unlimited resources you could get from a recording studio. Keep it going!!

I'm working on my stuff, as son as I have it ready I'll post it for you guys to listen to.

Cheers!
