I wasn't DP fan till that night.
I knew a few songs of DP and I wasn's expecting a very good show, but I ha to see Gillan and Morse performing.

The band started good, keeping the audience in a warm state, not very wild, but I started to see every musician on stage, they really REALLY play very good. And they showed Monterrey that they can still be rockin' like their good days.

every member of DP showed big smiles the entire show, 'cause they weren't expecting such a good answer form the Mexican people, even when the show wasn't a sold-out one.

Ian Gillan obviously can's sing like the DP's golden age, but still has a good voice, but uncapable to reach very high notes like the ones in "Child in time" (one of the great songs that they didn't play)
Morse... what can I say? He did his guitar solo, playing excerpts of songs like "Whole lotta love", "stairway to heaven", "sweet chilf o' mine" etc
and showing why he is a great guitar player, always showing himeself close to the public.
Then we heard a Keyboard solo by Airey, wit hexcerpts of "popeye's theme" and also the mexican classics "jarabe tapatío" and "la cucaracha"
after that keyboard solo Airey dind't wait to the crowd to clap at the end of his solo, no, he did better puting "perfect strangers" right away he finished his solo, and then they ended with their all time classics.

A great show I must admit, one of the best of my life

Gillan never played another song from he's MK except for Hush. Wow cool. Today at 8 pm they're gonna play in my country, Argentina, I saw them last year it was amazing, even though a dissapointing keyboard solo from Don, playing star wars epic, how lame can you go with that. I see that in Mexico they Battlle Rage On and Mary Long both faves, they haven't played them last year I'll see tonight....
