Atheria (American prog metal)

   There's a band I'm friends with called Atheria. They call themselves prog metal, but I'm not really sure if the music is something I would call progressive, as the metal elements are much stronger in my opinion (although they claim influences ranging from death metal to post rock). Anyway, I thought it worth posting just in case any good came out of it. 
They have no albums out as of the moment and are currently working on a demo.

	Well this band sure is Metal with Progressive influences. That much really shows through in their sound and style of playing. I just wouldn't go as far as saying they are progressive, which of course you didn't. The first song is interesting, sounds pretty good, and has it's cool moments. I prefer the second song as it showcases that they can mix their heavier influences with their softer (as you said, post-rock) influences. All in all it's a pretty cool metal band.
