We had a discussion about this some time ago, and agreed the spiritual home of Prog was between Wardour Street or Notting Hill Gate in London,  or a quaint little cottage somewhere in Snowdonia or a small country Mansion in Surrey!!LOL Definitely not Birmingham!

Go Canterbury - there is a very nice Cathedral (actual one of the greatest in the world) there, and plenty of places for picnics around.
