Topic: Weirdest Album Cover Posted: July 13 2006 at 17:32 |
The title is pretty much self-explanitory. What do you consider the strangest album cover in the archives?

That Comus album First Utterance has a cover which is the stuff of nightmares. Incidentally, the music is pretty dreadful too (and I generally like prog folk!)

Strange in the sense of "What the hell was 'the designer' thinking?"
would be Jethro Tulls' J-tull.com, which is like a primer in all
possible design errors you can commit in one small five-inch square.
Hideous.

![](http://www.bunglefever.com/images/DiscoVolante_CD_Cover.jpg) -Pretty weird byt I like it. One of my favorite albums too. ![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0007GAEW6.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg) FTM artwork is one of Storm's weirder creations. ![](http://www.faust3d.com/Music/images/643f.jpg) ![](http://www.progreviews.com/reviews/images/Mag-Atta.jpg) Some magma covers are pretty weird(and good) ![](http://www.progreviews.com/reviews/images/GYBE-fa.jpg) ![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00004ZD69.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg) ![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00006RJ1I.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg) GYBE! covers are pretty weird but they perfectly suit the music.

Not sure if it's the "weirdest", but Gaboni's drawing for the cover of MAGO DE OZ's album "Gaia" is quite bizarre:

Ulver: Kveldssanger. The hideous disaster of a cover looks like its
done by a twelve year old. The music is pure acustic folk songs. A very
pleasant surprise.

Thes two are wonderfully weird imo.
Guru Guru: Hinten is probably the ugliest cover ever made. I won't post it.

Amputechture by TMV has a pretty weird cover, though very nice at the same time. My favourite cover ever.

Oh, how could we forget this gem.
I always thought this one was quite strange, but cool.

For me, it's Pink Floyd "Relics" cover with that four eyed mask. It makes me feel my eyes are going out of focus or I'm seeing double.

Indeed. Gaboni made some very hilarious covers for Mago de Oz. One can find alot of "subliminal imgaes" in only one cover.

Hey guys, any album cover with Frank Zappa will be weird! My choice is "Abominog" (URIAH HEEP) - voted worst cover of the year when it was released. That devil monkey is weird - but ridiculous
