   Friday, april 7th I had the pleasure of hearing JT in consert again. Since they are one of my all time favorites in prog it was a very enjoyable evening. This was my second meeting with the band, (The first was in 79 !) so it was about time to meet with Ian Anderson and company again. I must admit this was almost like seeing the DVD "Living with the past"
As expected they were playing mostly oldies but goodies! 6 songs from Aqualong was among the best ones. Martin Barre did also perform a solo from one of his album, but the audience did not get to excited about this one.

	They are amazing to see (still). I've seen JT 4 times since the 70's. Last time was Oct 04 and they played the full Aqualung album, Ian Anderson even mentioned that it was the first time since the Aqualung tour that they played the entire album. I treated the young fellow, he was 16 and he became a Tull fan that night. The first set was billed as the acoustic set and the second as the electric set. Here was the setlist... Life Is A Long Song, Skating Away..., Eurology, Jack-In-The-Green, Slipstream, Empty Café, Up To Me, Dun Ringill, Boris Dancing, Cheap Day Return/Mother Goose, Wond'ring Aloud, In The Grip Of Stronger Stuff, Bourée (christmas album version) [Interval] My Sunday Feeling, Cross-Eyed Mary, Pavane, Hymn 43, Weathercock, A New Day Yesterday (incl. Kelpie), Murphy's Paw, Farm On The Freeway, Flying Dutchman (intro) / My God, Aqualung, Wind-Up, Locomotive Breath, Protect And Survive (inst.), Cheerio

	I saw Jethro Tull live in 1971 (Aqualung), 1972 (Thick as a Brick) & 1973 (Passion Play). They were the best 3 concerts that I ever saw and that includes Yes, ELP, King Crimson, Procol Harum, Pink Floyd & The Mahavishnu Orchestra. They were amazing then and it sounds like thay are still amazing. Ian Anderson is an incredible talent and Martin Barre is one of the most underrated guitarist! It's good to hear they can still do it today!
	Vinyl just sounds better!!
