I have one Camel album- Mirage

I really, really enjoy it- what album should be next?

Are there other bands I should consider if I enjoy Camel? I dont have much older prog.

Thanks!

If you like Mirage, try the first maybe...its not quite as good, but its similar. Moonmadness is also great!

Agreed, I love Breathless even though it never gets any respect in the archives!  Same goes for Rain Dances and I can see your house from here.  Great if you like the poppy and sometimes jazzy side of prog.  A Nod and a Wink and Rajaz are better than the just mentioned albums but if you want to go with their older stuff I suggest 'Nude' which is very good and shows some of their 80s sound.  If you want to stick with their classics though, get all their albums up to Rain Dances.  I think that one should own Camel's entire discography although I know that's not reasonable to suggest.

Get everything from 1973 to 1978 and the get "Nude" (1980). This is Camel at its best!!! The rest is nothing especial and most of the time dull AOR.

I forgot something! If you like Camel, you'll probably like Rousseau's first two records ("Flower in Asphalt" and "Retreat".)

Yep!! Their music in their first albums is IMHO better than what Camel were doing in the same period of time ("I Can See..." and "The Single Factor".)
