As many of you know, I'm maintaining a release calendar at my website. To continue the tradition of new releases announcements here in the forum, I thought I'd implement a nice weekly export (might make it bi-weekly, depending on how many releases there are). So here they are, all new releases this week. First only PA releases, then other prog or prog-related releases at AP, then all the rest. Enjoy, and let me know what you think about this!

If you want to contribute, please either add some content at AP yourself (artists, releases, ratings, genre assignments, blurbs etc.) or mention any corrections or additions in this thread.

Check out the dynamic calendar page here: https://awesomeprog.com/calendar

^ I've just listened to it, very cool. Wasn't too impressed with the pre-released tracks, but the album is really strong as a unit.

The Aristocrats "Duck" was released on 2/16.

Most definitely an AOTY candidate

^ Ah - you must have been filtering for progressive releases. I've just changed my assignment from prog-adj to prog for Duck, so now you should be able to see it. I'm kind of on the fence there - it's an awesome release, but they venture in and out of prog (and in and out of Jazz-Fusion).

I should probably add a filter that includes prog and prog-adj.

^Not filtering, and The Aristocrats are labeled on PA as heavy prog.

And yes I see it now.

^ the PA artist genre is not very relevant at AP, genre is assigned by users. But yes, the Aristicrats are in Heavy Prog at PA. Which is why they are in the appropriate section in the calendar export for week 8.

What does the dropdown below the page title say on your calendar page? Unless it says “all releases”, you are filtering 😊

A really pleasant surprise for me today was the new Job for a Cowboy release. Really well made Prog Death Metal.
