I made a video today where i rank Thresholds albums from worst to first. I plan on doing one on Savatage and Arena aswell. How close is it to your ranking list? (if you have one)

Threshold have never released a bad album... I think Extinct Instinct could have done with a bit of editing to improve it, but that's a personal thought... I love them all.
Arena's last good album was Pepper's Ghost; they've become pretty uninspired since then.

Very cool. Watched the video. I agree with a lot of your assessments and opinions.
I’d definitely love to hear your Savatage take. They are so criminally underrated it is just stupid to me. Lol. |

Jared, i agree with you on what you said about Arena, but i think their last good album was Contagion, Peppers Ghost didnt impress me much. I lost Arena when Paul Manzi joined, i will be leaving his era out. Im looking forward to their next album tho, as Damien Wilson will be the new frontman. I do agree that Threshold have never done a bad album, just ones that arnt as strong as others.
Progbethyname, my Savatage one will be rather controversial though, because there are two era's with Savatage, the classic heavy metal era, which is what Sirens to Hall of the Mountain King is, and then the Prog metal era, which is what Gutter Ballet to Poets and Madmen is. I really like the prog metal era, but dont care much about the classic metal era. People say things to me like "how can you rate Sirens so low, but put Streets so high?".

Yes, PG doesn't score particularly highly on PA either; maybe it's just me, I have always liked it a lot.. Damian's inclusion is an interesting one... they are releasing a new album with him aren't they? Let's just hope he sticks around long enough to build some form of legacy with them?
