Marvelers of Creation
### For Immediate Release## For more information, contact: Amos Hart 641.226.3997 [email protected] December 21, 2020 - Winter Solstice PORTLAND, OR – Silent Temple is excited to announce the release of their most recent recording, Marvelers of Creation. Band director Amos Hart and bassist Mike Ewers met during their studies at Columbia College Chicago. In 2018, they pursued their musical ambitions, moving west to be inspired by the forest coast mountains. Together, they spent two years finding, training, and building community with some of the best musicians on the Portland music scene. The results of this ambition, to bring Silent Temple to the next level, is evident in this epic musical journey. So is Amos Hart's dedication. At 25, Marvelers is Amos' fourth full-length release. Of the music, Amos reports it will "transport you to the heart of the sacred woodlands, marveling at Mother Earth's creation, to endure and enjoy the trials and triumphs of her children". If that's true, then fans can look forward to even greater musical heights in Silent Temple’s many years ahead. Firmly rooted in a love for vintage folk rock, Marvelers embodies the musical spirit of the people and enhances it through the structures of classical music and the approach and grooves of jazz. Such a synthesis naturally allowed for the band to be chosen to open for Drag City artists "Faun Fables" in Milwaukee during their Chicago days. From the Rock venue to the Occult shop, from the skateshop to the street corner, for the past 3 years Silent Temple has been making its way into the hearts of the grassroots music community. With now 4 full-length albums of "progressive epic forest music" and committed musicians to cast these journeys into existence, the Temple doors are wide open. Silent Temple’s new record invites you to explore the Temple halls winding deep into the past, future, and the gift of presence.
