Some bands of various origin and focus yet have a strong foundation in rock yet ecpands on the format in one way or more. A bunchbof creative bands to provoke a fertile discussion.

Cult, Sabbath and Tull are a part of this poll. Yes, a hard one. No vote.

Surprisingly easy... Tull head and shoulders above the rest.

Probably Procol Harum for the fact they went at least 8 albums on all cylinders. Close second would be Tull for another longevity award. Loved Sabbath for five, Chicago until after Carnegie Hall, ELO for 2 to 4.

Jethro Tull, no contest.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Certainly a bunch of great bands that produced great music over the years. Jethro Tull is my obvious choice, but The Moody Blues, Deep Purple,Led Zeppelin, etc are great on their own terms and merits.

Being a prog site, it isn't really a hard poll at all. Jethro Tull indeed were easy to take it. As for me, I do have a bit of a hard time choosing between Led Zeppelin, The Moody Blues, and Jethro Tull themselves.

Not hard at all to me, easily Jethro. Anyway I love or like almost all the bands here, except not that much ELO, also I like only Chicago´s few first albums.

Nor familiar withT-Rex or BOC, but the others are pretty much on an even keel for me - especially Sabbath, Tull, Chicago (pre-‘78) and Moodies.

The poll was difficult until I came to Tull at the end. Then it was easy. Otherwise, hard to pick between Sabbath, Zeppelin, Moodies.

I'm going to throw ELO some love. Lots of good choices here but I always liked what ELO did by bringing the string section in to the mix, especially on there first 4 or 5 albums.

Gave Chicago some love, but really there's not much in it between that and ELO, Moodies and Tull.
Ooh, ya almost got me!
