I suggest the German band Epitaph for prog-related. They are quite on the heavy side, but with lots of changes in their songs, and there are definitely many quiet passages as well. They remind me of the Norwegian band Titanic, who are already in the archives under prog-related.

Here links to their first three albums:

I would not put them into heavy prog but into prog-related. As I said, they are very similar to the Norwegian band Titanic, which also is in prog-related. Both bands are quite heavy.

It's damned tough to get any band into Prog Related these days. This post will perhaps explain the issue a bit more: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=103727&PID=5228567#5228567.

^ why don't we get rid of some of the band's that shouldn't be under that category and add new ones that make more sense?

Unfortunately admins cannot delete artists, only M@X can do that, and we see him these days about as often as we see Halley's Comet!
