Topic: The Beatles Posted: September 03 2016 at 17:55 |
I know this kind of poll has been done ad naseam but the Beatles are truly a very fascinating musical group and at times people find themselves feeling differently about their discography. Just want to know how you guys feel about them. Note, I am only polling their UK releases

White Album has the most songs that I enjoy (and most songs I don't!). Helter Skelter was decades ahead of its time

The White Album, the whole, gloriously sloppy thing.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Revolver has always nudged out all of my other favorite Beatle albums. I'm one of those who feel you could edit the white album to about 50 minutes and have a great single album.

1. Let It Be 2. MMT 3. Hard Days Night
Let it Be has been my favorite for some years now. The order of the rest can vary for me.

Abbey Road - My parents had the album and I was exposed to it from a very early age. Still my favorite album

That's what makes their music so fascinating. They can vary depending on your mood

Either Abbey Road or Let It Be, though I haven't listened to very much Beatles music lately.

Voted for Help as it kinda flies under the radar but should be rated more so than it is (imho - as if anyone thinks otherwise). Abbey Road would be a more likely contender for Beatles world champion album though. Revovler's not bad at all even if Got To Get You Into My Life is standout fantastic. White album would be best without the sloppy mess but the highlights are terrific.
Everything in stereo. Mono versions sound dreadful, very unnatural even if they are part of the UK catalogue.

I always preferred their later stuff and can only imagine how it must of been to have a Beat combo go from songs about holding hands to Sgt. Pepper!

Revolver - Sgt Pepper - Rubber Soul. Only then Abbey Road & White Album, both of which have highlights but feel somewhat inconsistent overall to me.
