Topic: God save the songwriters! Posted: August 26 2005 at 07:56 |
Marianne Faithful, G.Nash, Morrissey, M.Jagger,P.Collins and lots of others .... England, Ireland and Wales are represented I don't know if there are any Scots in my list; feel free to add! I tried to focuse on 'songwriters' . So A. Philipps and S. Hackett for ex. are not in here because they are more into composition. My favourites are Ray Davis,Nick Drake and Van Morrison and a special mention for John Greaves.

Hmmm...Clapton or Gabriel...Clapton or Gabriel...I'll go with Gabriel, though I would choose Townsend if 'e was on the poll.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.
