Two actresses whose work I very much enjoyed in the 80s and 90s.  A short clip from each below.  Also loved these films and their respective directors. 

But this poll is on the actresses work overall, not just these two films.

I love them both and Claude Sautet was fantastic.  But I have to give my vote to Jacob.

Sad to say I don't know either one and I'm ignorant about most foreign film.
I'll watch the clip and see what I'm missing.

Hi Wu....
Euro cinema is wonderful in that it can be as much about the look and the impressions than the story.  They are like paintings....

If you're looking a good starting point for more modern Euro film try Kieslowski's acclaimed Blue/White/Red trilogy.
