Not sure its strictly Prog, but the music is written and performed live by Vanden Plas. Its wonderful. I bought it after I bought and enjoyed the DVD of the Abydos opera, from the same company. |

actually, i have been watching a lot of rush.
they have been pretty consistent in video releases since the early 80s! i would really rather purchase the NEWER releases, as i prefer the wide aspect ratio for a more cinema like experience. it is hard to choose a favorite. each one has it's strengths and weaknesses. r30 is really good, and geddy's vocals are in tip-top shape! rio was a good concert, good to see girls for a change! hahah! s&a was also good. i LOVED the oh, atlanta! disc! i would like to see a recording of that WHOLE show! i got the grace under pressure release. it was cheap, so i figured "why not"? though not a favorite album of most rush fans, the band projected good musicianship, and it was cool to see ged and alex moving around more in their younger days! geddy in his mullet, and wifebeater shirt was kinda good for a chuckle. the priceless moment was the dude in the audience in his headband playing air guitar! some of the chicks with big hi-yah and lot-o-makeup was funny too! i think i might get the "exit stage left" dvd, but i want to be careful, because i have read that some footage might be missing in the dvd release. of course, the king crimson dvds i own, 3 of them, are awesome! and the porcupine tree "arriving somewhere" is amazing! i love lassie hoile's style of editing. it could be considered too artsy for some, but i love it! |

I'm afraid I haven't a very large collection of music DVDs, unfortunately.
I've got Led Zeppelin- Their self titled 2003 DVD, and the Song Remains the Same DVD Dream Theater- Chaos In Motion Porcupine Tree- Arriving Somewhere Iron Maiden- The Early Days part 1 Muse- Absolution Tour Nirvana- Live at Reading Radiohead- the best of videos collection The Who- Maximum R n B And I've watched them all a few times. Might need to buy some more. The PT DVD is very good indeed, as is the '03 Led Zep DVD. |

Been meaning to watch this for AGES. Just borrowed it from a friend... My girlfriend actually likes Zappa too, so I'm in for an awesome 2 hours 45 mins! Edited by Eapo_q42 - January 19 2010 at 16:47 |
