^ the problem with the old exitus tragicus is having to sneak back in to see if anyone's noticed it, and if so, then to read what they said without being able to reply. That would drive me nutz.
What?

Wow, that will teach me to miss a week. Gay tantrums and Steve G suspended, and Kentucky elected a tea-party governor.  I should have stayed in England.

I never noticed any anti-LGBT bias on this website, but the odd bit of misogyny does slip through (I took someone to task about eight months ago for referring to women collectively as "bitches," and it didn't sound like a joke).

Was the OP a troll? It isn't clear to me, but at the same time he didn't seem much interested in prog.

I have no problem with being called a "bitch" here. But I want the right to call all men "pricks" in here then. Wink

I missed this as well. What the hell did Steve possibly do to get suspended? Did he question the validity of Close to the Edge being the top rated prog album, or was there some other sacrilege?

*shrug* all I know is he threw a tantrum and sulked off. Next I saw he was suspendered.
Sheesh. I always liked SteveG. He would have these odd occasions from time to time, I must admit.

It's pretty apt most of the time.

Ah, that would be "too good" for this corner of the world if that extremely socially unacceptable behavior of Serbian clergy terminates with "following their own religion".
A slightly off the topic, what about the statement of the Patriarch of Serbian Ortdox Church, given a few days ago, that Serbia needs to regain control at Kosovo "willingly or forcefully"? http://english.blic.rs/News/10957/Patriarch-on-Kosovo-We-must-respond-to-force
You do not need anything to answer, because the question is rhetorical in order just to inform the readers of this thread with what kind of institutionalized maniacs (who openly and literally called to a new dirty war at Balkan and at the same time also make speeches in their temples as well as at the fascist Internet portals that return to the "some of medieval forms of society" is something inevitable and the main requirement if "we" want that "God regarding Serbia,") LGBT community here have to deal.

p.s. A consolation for you: Serbian priests are real classy ones when they're choosing new cars Exclamation

I have a problem with anyone being called a "bitch" here. I also have a problem with anyone being called a "prick" or a "dick". If someone is being bitchy then by all means ask them to stop being a bitch, but to call them a bitch would be unacceptable to me. Similarly, if someone is acting like a prick then by all means point that out to them, but to actually call them a prick would be unacceptable.
What?

My objection is not to one person being called a bitch or a prick (as we all behave badly on occasion) but using those nouns to refer collectively to an entire gender.

I had totally forgotten it was you, so as you can see no grudges held. Here's a big Kati hug to prove it.  Hug

I have objected to other misogynistic remarks on PA, so it was the only first example I recalled rather than a dig at you.

Actually it wasn't me really but I kind of defended the person who said it because I thought he was joking. Kati hug to you too. Hug

Being gay in the 21st century?  About as edgy as being left-handed.  There's no place for intolerance based on sexual preference.  However, being a Kansas fan.....different story.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

I admire your optimism, but things are not that great yet. Confused

People still get killed for being gay/lesbian/transgender.

PS: I agree with the Naksas fan bit. LOL

I got 99 problems but referring to women with a derogatory slur is not one of them.

Much worth than being a Kansas-Fan is being a fan of Barclay James Harmless.
