Nothing wrong with that indeed Thumbs Up It's a lovely sunny morning here in Helsinki, too bad I have to work today.

What made the whole thing even funnier is my one professor is strongly associated with Finland. He's not of Finnish descent but he was stationed there for 30 years working for the CIA and spent another 20 doing missionary work/just living there. So yea 50 years of his life, and he would tell stories of his time there and the people, so obviously I just loved it.

Also, he is fluent in Finnish, which I know is one of the toughest languages. He once said he recited the Kalevala in perfect finnish to a family and the mother broke into tears.

I'd love to go some day.

You have more faith than me in Romanians then.

Of course, if it's because we were under communist regim, I don't wanna hear about. Go visit Chișinău (if they'll let you pass the border).

No sir. I'm a critic of Ceaușescu as much as anybody else, and Romania's position under communism was worse than almost anybody's. You guys just have a cool culture and you've given us people like Tristan Tzara and Eugen Ionescu, among others.

Yeah, we were capable of great minds occasionally.
Should I know who you're talking about?

I could likely fill you in.

No idea but he seems to be a Fred Frith/HC fanboy.

By the way, Patrick, don't go here.

http://home.arcor.de/nyds-exp-discogs/frith.htm

I was on there for 2 hours and I still haven't got to the end. LOLEmbarrassed

Also, Frith has done a track called Frithertronics.  It made me giggle.

Second also, the guitar playing on A Night to Remember reminds me of Warren Haynes only not as good.  Petrucci has a lot to learn. LOL

Only on track one so far.

It's on Spotify and I'm trying out my old Sennheiser earbuds which I bought ages ago... my AKG's have broken.

The new DT is pretty terrible.

Better use of your listening time:  Cheer-Accident.

It is indeed terrible. The worst album I've heard all year. Maybe ever.

I don't think that one's on Spotify.

I need to make a severe dent in my current account soon, I'm lacking a lot of CDs.

Patrick, have you heard Frith's Guitar Solos album yet?  I'm curious.

He's been involved in a lot of stuff but I'm a bit wary about what to buy.  I think I'll definitely buy some Naked City, as he plays bass with them.  I may also try Material as well.

Do you know if all his solo material is experimental?
