I've been hanging out with Mike this week.  I purchased the Sliders series on DVD and it was filmed in British Columbia; granted Mike was almost still in diapers when it was filmed. Wink  I had taped all of the shows back when the SciFi channel used to show them, but luckily for my my memory sucks and it is almost as though I am watching them all new for the first time.

Kind of a "if you're gonna swim with the sharks you might as well be named after one of them"?

I keep having people ask what my real last name is - they assume Sharkey is a stage persona

You know what'd be crazy? If Robert Fripp actually used this site, and we would never know.
I mean he could be rushfan for example. How would we know?

You'll know that you've been in the business too long when they nickname you "jump the".

Which is actually the real reason that I started this thread.  http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=58670&KW=make+robert&PID=3272517#3272517  I don't really like myself all that much so I needed some help. LOL

LOL
But really, we know many musicians, especially prog ones....shy away from the limelight.
Imagine if one used this site every day, you might be talking to Neil Peart right now!

Now for something completely different, I actually enjoy the Tour de France. Not just to see the US beating other countries, but I find it very interesting.
Am I crazy?

Phideaux has been here rather frequently lately, and of course JPlanet from Shadow Circus is a regular poster.  But both of them are here as themselves not as pseudonyms.  I think that many musicians like to at least read these boards for reviews and discussions about newly released albums.  However, they probably watch from afar rather than join in on the conversations.

Enjoy your introduction to Krautrock then. Smile

Not my introduction per se...I don't own any albums, but I have heard some of Tago Mago and one other Can album I can't think of right now.

And I did actually LOL

It is indeed a TV show, does not appear to be dirty though...

It can be slightly dirty.

Gay kissing, some lesbian scenes.

The recent five part series was good yet also amusingly awful at the same time.  One scene in it though was disturbing.

Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who by the way. Wink

A totally bad way.

Female vocals.

High unstable pitches.

Flat instrumental cover.

Disaster.

I won't be checking that out then. LOL

I've never heard a single VdGG cover actually.

I do know that Hugh Hopper once played bass on a cover of Refugees though, I believe.
