It's an absolutely stellar combination of jazz, bluegrass, folk, and funk. I just got a 2nd album and I'm so glad I did. It's great!

I've heard of Bela Fleck, but I'm on a music hiatus at the moment. The radio has gotten to me too much.

The presence of Victor Wooten in the Flecktones is actually what made me check out in the first place.

I've heard of him too, but I've never been a fan of bass solos. It's just not an interesting instrument, there's not enough range, even though Victor can does crazy sh*t.

I really like the bass, but I see what you mean.

Victor's playing is exceptional.

I will agree that In Absentia is not the most progressive thing out there, but I do quite enjoy it. However, I think their two releases after it were better.
