I'm really dissapointed with the results of this poll, people is voting for the Prog guitar player and for the band instead of answering honestly which is the best Acoustic guitar player.
Steve Howe is great, I have all his solo albums, but he's mainly a ROCK guitar player and most of his work is done with electric guitar.
Hackett has two 100% Classical Acoustic guitar albums ad is not mentioned, but that would be ok, because not even Hackett is in the level of Segovia, Sabicas, Paco de Lucía or even Tomatito with his gypsy guitar. Not to mention Al Di'Meola and John McLaughlin who are very near.
Those who haven't done it, buy and listen this album, then tell me if after that you will vote for Howe again:
Friday Night in San Francisco
Listen the songs Mediterranean Sundance/Rio Ancho or Frevo Rasgado and then tell me if Howe is even remotely near with the acoustic guitar to this guys.
