All right, I've had enough Eddie Izzard for a month now ![Wacko Wacko](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley29.gif) |
That's impossible! You can never have enough Izzard. Have you seen him life? One of the best nights of my life.
|
Well, I had been listening to youtube links to his stuff for over an hour. Bound to get annoying like that. And no, I haven't had the good luck to see him live. I'd definitely would like to see Tommy Tiernan or Eddy if ever either come back to Montreal though.

Over an hour? That's nothing. The longest streak I ever had was listening to nothing but Rush for 5 months, and that was back in 2004-2005.

I like In the Court, but it's actually one of my least favorite Crimson albums, if not my least favorite.
|
![Thumbs Down Thumbs Down](smileys/smiley21.gif) Although I think Discipiline might have slid into my #2 Crimson spot. You'll just have to check my list when it's done. Also everyone elses. Did I mention that you should all make lists. ![Wink Wink](smileys/smiley2.gif)

Okay, it's Crimson studio album ranking time. 1. Discipline 2. Three of a Perfect Pair 3. Beat 4. The Power to Believe 5. Larks' Tongues in Aspic 6. The ConstruKction of Light 7. Red 8. THRAK 9. Starless and Bible Black 10. Lizard 11. Islands 12. In the Wake of Poseidon 13. In the Court of the Crimson King That's my personal preference ranking. The stars they would receive in reviews is another story, as I try to be more objective there. I also love all of those albums alot. ![Clap Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif)

I can't wait for the "record your own guitar solos" version of Fear Of a Blank Planet to come out

My list used to look more like that, until I became an 80s era fanboy.

Haha, never got into 80s Crimson myself.
I think the stuff The Cure did in the 80s was better than 80s KC, just me I spose.
|
I'm in a huge minority, but despite loving absolutely all Crimson, the 80s era/lineup is my favorite.
The Neal and Jack and Me DVD is the best DVD I own. ![Clap Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif) ![Clap Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif) ![Clap Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif)
Then again, I'm a Belew fanboy, and Fripp, Levin, and Bruford are all favorites of mine as well. I love 80s Crimson like I do 80s Rush.
|
Discipline might be my favorite KC album too so you're not alone.
I think a lot of 80s bands own KC though. Talking Heads being a prime example since KC are very similar.
|
I never got into the Talking Heads. I got an album or two and I was really disappointed after hearing that they were supposedly similar to 80s Crimson.
|
Weird. What albums did you get? Cause some of their albums sound definitely like KC. Actually, KC were heavily influenced by them. Adrian Belew also emulates David Byrne when he sings.
|
Fear of Music and More Songs About Buildings and Food
|
Oh ok. That's because you've got their early albums. They're more punk (I adore 'em anyway). Get Remain in Light and if you still fail to see the KC similarities, well you fail.
