Not a problem. I thought the deep voiced thing would suit your ears... although the vocals aren't that important to the sound anyhow. He sounds like the guy from Sisters of Mercy. ![]() Edited by James - December 17 2008 at 22:29 |

Mixed feelings, actually. It doesn't feel all that different to me, because I still had loads of free time during the school year; it's not near as big of a difference as breaks in high school because back then I was doing 5-8 hours of schoolwork and other crap a night. I'm still happy for it though, generally. Free time is certainly a double-edged sword: it can be your best friend or your worst enemy. |

Beer is always the bomb.
And no James, I'm not installing XP, for some reason Vista just works better and never crashes, unlike XP which died every couple of weeks for me ![]() I could install more memory, but the problem is I'm running the 32 bit OS, and I can only add one more gig of RAM before I hit the limit. Right now, as far as I'm aware, 1.5 Gigabytes are being allocated for use by apps, the other 1.5 is going towards Kernel space and I have no idea if: A. Vista lets you change how the RAM is allocated in that regard. B. If I would totally screw things up if I could find a way to allocate more RAM to apps and leave less for Kernel space. |

I know the Cohen version, I know both the Cohen and Buckley versions inside out backwards frontwise sideways. And in the end, I liked Buckley's rendition better. It's not like I made up my mind because one is more well known than the other. |

I only got as far as their 3rd song on myspace, but no vocals yet... I have yet to look into the Sisters Of Mercy anyway. I'm sure they are Cohen fans judging by their name, hence bound to have some goodness in them.

Ah yes, XP also suffers from that memory issue. I only have a 32 bit OS version of XP as well.
XP never crashes for me. But then 2000 rarely crashed for me either. You did have all the Service Packs installed and all the relevant updates? |

You need the whole album. I guess the tracks on MySpace are just excerpts. |

I had all the updates, everything, but for some reason XP didn't work well for me, for reasons that were most likely beyond my knowledge of computer usage. I could possibly get the 64 bit vista OS, because my motherboard can support up to 8 gigabytes of RAM, but I don't know if the 64 bit version takes a bigger hit on CPU usage or not. |

As "metal" as I am, Jeff Buckley's Grace is one of the most amazing albums of the 90s IMO.
Even after the last track ends, the feeling of the album just stays with me and puts a chill down my spine. |

Elitist n00b! ![]() If it wasn't for some applications I need Windows for, I'd probably use Linux myself. I already use Open Office 2.4. and other free applications. And there is a Unix version of both Neverwinter Nights, I gather (presumably able to work in Linux too). I guess I could get a new Desktop eventually and dual-boot... hmm. |

Grace is indeed epic. Even my parents enjoy it. It's slightly proggy too, in my opinion. |

I'm sure you mean Hello Goodbye or Happy Sad
![]() Seriously, I liked Grace as much as the next guy (wait, can I say that), but I don't see what the fuss is all about with Jeff. His dad accomplished way more in an even shorter life, was a better songwriter, and had better vocals, yet people only remember Jeff. It's beyond me.

It was good stuff indeed, funkay. But man, it wasn't any heavier than Rage Against The Machine, it just didn't seem to get to metal really, so I may be making my decision to give them to you guys at HP instead. |

Linux is so much more RIO and satisfying. ![]() I'm dual-booting between Vista and Linux, I really only boot into Vista to use iTunes...but hopefully I won't have to do that soon. |
